Child care & protection
A safe, caring place for children who need protection, with a stable routine and caring adults.
Khumbulani Children's Place of Safety is committed to providing care, protection and support for children and helping create a stronger, safer community.
Khumbulani Children's Place of Safety is a registered nonprofit organisation in Town Two, Khayelitsha, on the Cape Flats in the Western Cape.
We give children who need care and protection a safe, stable place to be — with meals, routine, support for school and caring adults who know them by name. We work alongside social workers, families and the wider Khayelitsha community, because children are safest when the people around them work together.
To provide a safe, caring and supportive environment where children can be protected, nurtured and given opportunities to grow, learn and build a positive future.
A community where every child is safe, cared for, respected and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our work covers the everyday care children need and the support that helps them build a future.
